Puppies born on 24 May, 2003

taken in July, 2003

(2 months of age)

Ochaye The Emperor - 'Caesar'
When Basia looked at Caesar he reminded her of the Aspen snowfields in the United States. Consequently, 'Aspen' is now living with Basia and what a lucky puppy he is.
He goes to work with her most days. This unique situation is achievable as Basia works with her father, who is a confirmed dog-lover.
Basia tells us that Aspen is a very clever boy. Within a few days she had taught him to come to his new name.
Here are some photographs Basia sent us.
We are most grateful to her, and look forward to keeping in contact with Aspen's new family.

Ochaye Essence Ov May - 'Gemini'
Gemini is Tim's favourite - he calls her "My Girl'. She is bouncy and mischievious but loves a cuddle and certainly has Tim wound round her little paw.
Ochaye Electrification - 'Electra'
Electra was tiny and is still the smallest. Tim and I supplemented her feedings for several weeks. Now she is catching up fast and nothing will stop her acrobatics on the bush rock walls.

Ochaye The Evolution - 'Patchwork'
Patchwork is living, in paradise, on the Gold Coast. He now owns Sian, Daniel and James (as well as their parents) all of whom are ruled by Nala, the Burmese cat.
Ochaye Eyes On Me - 'Lancelot'
Lancelot is rather bossy and is always part of any hi-jinx that might be happening. He certainly thinks everyone is watching him. But then, he's not silly, we are!

Ochaye Eyecatcher - 'Casanova'
Casanova devours chicken necks, adores cheese cubes and relishes beef and chicken mince - but won't eat 'Dog biscuits'. He is obviously a connoisseur of fine foods - undoubtedly his Italian ancestry is coming to the fore.
Ochaye Empire Builder - 'Spartacus'
Spartacus was the biggest of all the puppies. At four weeks of age, he was three times the weight of Electra. At this stage he is still 'different' and everyone who sees him agrees. We love his 'look' and will patiently wait to see how he develops. What will be will be!

After a heavy exercise programme on the tennis court, everyone lies down for a rest. Each puppy took up its own position beside Tim. The puppies slept for about 15 minutes, until David decided to go downstairs and capture the event on film. Tim was disappointed at the interruption, as he was timing to see how long they would stay beside him. We assured him a quarter of an hour was plenty long enough.
